Barrowcliffe's are based in the Carlton area of the city, have received the British Retail Consortium accreditation for their high standards and processes. They are one of only a few companies audited against level 5 and currently hold an A grade of accreditation.
Barrowcliffes have been in business for over 25 years, employ 110 people and offer a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation and is this week set to recruit a further eleven people to help with its expanding order book. If the orders continue to flow, there will be even greater recruitment opportunities in the near future.
Commenting on the award, Tony Archer, Operations Director at Barrowcliffe said: "We are absolutely delighted to receive this accreditation which is testimony to the high goals we set. We pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service and delivering to high standards which we are able to do from our site here in Carlton. All of this wouldn't have been possible without the terrific workforce we have in place."
This latest accolade comes on the back of the FTS accreditation, the company achieved last year which provides them with the opportunity to work in partnership with the Government sector ie the NHS and local schools.
Barrowcliffe has recently moved its banking to Barclays and is benefiting from an invoice discounting facility provided by the bank.
